Ok so this is for an 85 Corolla GTS 4age 16v. Remove the dizzy cap and behind the rotor there is a orange/ brown cap that covers the magnet, it says "do not remove" on it. Anyone know where I can get a replacement besides the junk yard? I have been looking in my local yards for the past month. All the first gen MR2 dizzys are always gone and hardly ever run into any AE86s. Is this cap needed, any ideas? It has to be there for a reason.
Thanks

Re: Cap inside of distributor
It probably is needed. I got a reman dizzy from autozone, it was missing the "do not remove" cap. That dizzy lasted 3 months. instead of using their warranty to get a free one, and a free one every 3 months thereafter, i got a used toyota dizzy from my buddy and it was good to go.
There a re a couple for sale in the classifieds. But if it works.... just rock it.

I actually found a toyota part number and it is labeled as a dust cover. But i highly doubt that they still make this.
