Replacement Washers on Headers

Postby Unknone86 » Fri Aug 05, 2016 11:46 am

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows what I can use as a replacement for metal washers on the ERG smog thing that attaches to the top off the headers or what the part number may be. On my FSM there is no part number or anything. The washers that I have are bent and a little bit of exhaust escapes out.

Thanks a bunch, Kedar

Depending on how rough the surface is on the exhaust manifold, you met get better results using either an aluminum or brass washer from the local hardware store [will probably have to open up the I.D.] Plus adding a little permatex should solve the problem. Dave W

If you want to try to find a Toyota part that might work you could give the transmission drain/filler washer a try. It's a common thing to use the drain plug to block off the EGR so the washer should be the correct size. It'll be aluminum, hopefully that holds up to exhaust temps, I think it should.
