Head Gasket
Hey, everyone. I just recently got 81.5mm 12:1 high compression CP piston for my 4age 16v ae86 and im curious if im going to need head gasket to match the oversize piston?

As far as I know headgaskets are over sized anyway !

as your attorney, I advise you to get a quality MLS head gasket. I wouldnt trust an OEM HG to hold up to 12:1 compression.

Why? Just wondering what you are basing your opinion on, it holds upto pressures from the 4AGZE???

Why? Just wondering what you are basing your opinion on, it holds upto pressures from the 4AGZE???
to tell you the truth, I hardly trust any OEM HG to keep it together for increased compression and havent seen it done with aftermarket high comp pistons(more than 10.3 oem high comp)

I asked this question for my 81.5mm pistons and was told to get a HG with 82mm bore.

I asked this question for my 81.5mm pistons and was told to get a HG with 82mm bore.
I was told to get the HG measurd to determine if its ardy over sized but it is OEM not MLS so it may noy hold since the materials are diff . The OEM seems flimsy and would hage a pre mature breakage
