question for mishimoto an koyo radiator owners!

Hi, my original radiator is busted and I want to buy an aluminum 2 row since florida heat + running the a/c seem to put a big load on the cooling system at idle.

I'm really considering either a mishimoto or koyo aluminum 2 row radiator, But I dont want to run higher PSI caps,

My question: Is it possible to use the OEM cap on either of these radiators?

The Mishimoto won't but it takes a standard WRX cap so you could get any standard pressure cap for any WRX and it would work.

Yes. The ae86 specific Koyo and Mishimoto radiators utilize the same style/size radiator cap as oem. I used an oem replacement cap on my Mishimoto radiator because the MIshimoto cap is ugly as sin.

Interesting to hear on the Mishimoto caps.
It came straight from Mishimoto that the stock cap wouldn't work.

^There have been a few versions over the years I believe. Perhaps the earlier ones didn't have the oem style filler neck.

The ae86 cap may work, but we have never tested for fitment. We have confirmed that a cap from an 02-07 WRX should fit without any problems.

Yes the OEM Toyota cap will work, I'm using a Cusco cap on mine, fits great.

thank you all for the replies. Ended up buying a Koyo. Glad to hear the stock cap fits. No need to run a higher pressure cap on a stock car I guess.
