Small Update::

Postby YOTAHOLIC808 » Sun Jul 13, 2014 11:27 pm

Did some work on my bumpers. Didnt like how agressive the rear was so I cut off the lip and re-glassed it to look somewhat OEM...

And I whipped up a quick bumper support/bash bar.. Nothing special but it does the trick!

Taking off that lip did wonders! I thought about doing that but I honestly don't have the skill... Maybe a write up in the future?

UPDATE!~

Postby YOTAHOLIC808 » Fri Jul 25, 2014 9:36 am

Since the very beginning of this build I have dreamed of running overly agressive 13x10 crazy offset wheels with crazy stretched tires! So that being said... Heres what Ive been up to lately~~~

13x10 -62 & 13x10 -38 steelies !!
Image
Image

185/60's
Image
Image
Image

The -62's in the rear.. I will not run flares because this is the style of my choice! I know the risks of running stretched tires so do not waste your time by telling me its dangerous! They are just wheels and tires! It is only a matter of 4 lug nuts and poof! I can change them! Yes I have numerous sets of "normal" wheels/tires to use when i feel like doing some Spirited Driving! Again this is NOT a daily driver haha and it is DEFINETLY NOT a hard parker/ show car! Dont get me wrong though, I WILL drive the car with this set up whether ppl approve or not :)

Think of it what you want, this is my style, and it puts a smile on my face!

This weekend I shall re assemble my front end and do a final mock up with all 4 wheels mounted! Stay tuned..

So its pretty clear to see that in those last pics I posted the fenders definetly dont fit properly haha! Annndd I was not able to achieve full lock due to tire contact with inner fender well.. Im sure this was mostly because I did not have my Tension rods on so I was not able to pull my caster foward.. So I put the Tension Rods on , and I also took out the NCRCA's and threw on some regular RCA's... oh boy what a difference that made!
Image
Image
Image

Not only do I now have clearence at full lock on the inner fender wells, but I also gained complete fender clearence with the fenders bolted on all the way!! Yay!

What front bumper do you have? I really want to do a JDM style bumper conversion soon and this looks like no wiring is needed. :D

So its been a minute since I updated this thread.. Not a whole lot of updates to talk about due to ridiculous work schedule atm... Basically my engine is still at my friends machine shop waiting for me to come assemble it.. Been doing some body work here and there, was hoping to paint it before 2015.. But yeah not looking too goodV(^_^)V

Anyways yeah so block is bored, crank polished, rods shot peened and polished, head ported, O/S valves etc... I finally got time last weekend to go clearence my bottom end.. Still need to assemble..

As for the body work, my main focus lately is the rear guards.. They are about 75% done.. Still need to ad sheet metal to the inner wells, and then its time for bog.... I hate bog...

Currently sitting with no springs.. I like the height Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ

So its moving along, but at quite a slow pace.. I been stacking parts like crazy with no time to work on my car... 2015 is here already!! Leaving to Japan on the 8th of next month for a month so progress will be just as slow if not slower.. Sigh
