The outer diameter of the flywheel and starter teeth are no different between the 200mm and 212mm flywheels. Only the diameter of the part that the clutch disk touches is different. A 212 flywheel and pressure plate fits under the T50 bellhousing, so I would expect it would fit under a C52 as well.

On the 4AGE they started using the 212mm FW around 86. On an AE92 if you have a 4AGE you should have a 212mm FW.
If you have a 4afe or 7afe or something else then I am not so sure about the FW size but both those motors use 6 bolt FW vs the 4AGEs 8 which means the 4AG FW wouldn't work.

I can confirm this. I run a 4AGE Blacktop with a Silvertop flywheel and a Blacktop clutch disc and pressure plate on my stock C52 (7AFE Celica) gearbox
Check my 4AGE 20V BT teardown, rebuild and transplantation over here --> http://club4ag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3382

this isnt intirely true. the large port 88-89 ae92 actually had a 200mm flywheel the small ports had the 212mm fw or at least the 88 ae92 gts motor i pulled from a matching number car had a 200mm fw
I <3 my AE86

i want to apologize about the wrong information i gave some days ago.The pressure plate of my 16v and the clutch disc that was finally 200mm does not fit the 20v flywheel. So i bought a new 20v clutch set for fitting..Tommorow i will send the presure plate and the flywheel for balancing.

Hey everyone I am new to this club. I was wandering if there a repair manual specifically for the 89 corolla gts/ ae92? Just to clarify I am assuming my car is a large port with 7 rib or is it a small port. I am planning to rebuild it.

The repair manual is the same with ae86 in the most of cases , you can download it http://www.aeu86.org/index/technical-ae86-manuals/cat/9/topic=5158
