SR5 wiring to gts alternator plug

Been string to search but have found nothing. I have a 86 sr5 I swapped a 20v blacktop which will run a MS2 system. I'm just needed to know if all I need to do to make sure the plug is a gts alt plug is extend the wires. Anyone done this before or can give me a little help? Thx

That is all I did: SR5 to 16V 7AGE. And it hasn't caught fire or shorted anything out.
