Hello from the Rainy State of Oregon

Postby CRASH.HM » Wed Sep 11, 2013 12:11 pm

Hi,
I'm getting back into the 4age club. It's been about 10 years since I had one of these. and they're still the best things on the road. I love working on these. I used to have a pair of AW11s, which unfortunately I wrecked. I was having too much fun. After taking some time off from car mechanics. I just got a real beater ae82 with a japanese r/b top dropped in. Hopefully I won't need too much help, but I've been chasing an oil leak which is starting to worry me. More on that later. Anyways happy to be here.

Welcome.... Portland here....

1st check underside of distributor, then check the 2 cam seals and the two crank seals. IF none of them are your leak... the odds are on a bad head gasket. Other potential areas for leaks - every other gasket
OST Cyl head porting, - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=300
