Bringing the Hachi back.

Postby Phoenix Down » Wed Jul 24, 2013 10:13 pm

I recently acquired a 1985 Corolla SR5 with a full GTS conversion. Unfortunately it was drifted into a a rock and god knows what else. She drives straight though.

I just had to restore it, kinda compelled I've always wanted an 86 so I grabbed this one, it will be my daily driver so it's going to be slow going but luckly I have friends with spare vehicles!

So down to business, the front end is in horrible shape so I have a full Zenki front end coming and a local body shop is going to make everything straight again.

There is horrible bondo jobs at random areas of the car (probably where it was drifted into) under the horrible paint so the plan is to sand it all down, rebondo it right and re paint.

The interior is meh as well. I have several replacement pieces on order and a nice dash cap and I'm hoping to find new rear seats if not, they are getting redone. The GTS seats will eventually leave for a set of Brides.

Wish me luck guys! I have a feeling I will need it.

Specs? you'll proabably have to be more specific. lol

As far as I know though, the rims are Rota Grid-V's wrapped in some no name tires, it has GTS disks all around. The suspension has unknown front struts and TRD Struts in the rear though the rear driver side sags down a bit, so I don't know if the strut is blown or needs adjusting. Unknown springs.

Thanks for replying -w-

And yeah thats pretty much the info I was looking for, but the grid's? Im guessing 15x7? 15x8? Whats the offset? I'm just sort of obsessed with te37v's/grid-v's on 86s lol and seeing them on your car I just had to ask! hahaha

15x7 I believe and I am unsure of the offset.

I'll trade them for some Watanabe's ;)
