quick queston on sr5 tranny

Can the tranny cause the engine to not start? just wondering.

If its in gear with brakes on. Unless you mean theres a "tranny" in your car, and in that case i wouldnt start either

F'd up starter safety switch on the clutch pedal or an auto's neutral/park safety switch?
