Alright... so for the nay sayer that told me that 50mm rca's wouldn't fit behind a 15" wheel... you were wrong. Tonight I test fit my 60mm rca and everything fit without any unexpected problems. I'll only be able to grease the ball joints with the wheels off and the little lip on the outer edge of the lower control arm makes contact with the rotor only because I have big brakes. I just need to knock off the lip and everything will work fine. Hoping this fixes some of my suspension geometry issues with me spacing the subframe to fit the Beams. I'll be waiting until we make the new lower control arm setup to put the rca's on.

Gazolorean: You're welcome to stop by anytime. If the white corolla is in the driveway it's a sure bet that I'm home. Nice meeting you and your peoples

KingofKings757: I'll kill you!!!!!! LOL! You should be working on your swap

swap looks nice, hopefully i'll be there soon. hoping to get my engine at least mocked up for mounts this weekend.

interesting idea on the huge RCA's, I'm just hoping to be able to get away with minimal subframe spacing with custom solid mounts and a little subframe modification.

peep the build thread if you get a minute.

Assassin10000 got away with no subframe spacing and just making his own mount brackets so it's possible

Lower control arms as they sit now

Image

And I've been making a fixture to modify the Celica Supra rear ends. Marty at AutoComp already had a fixture for the 6.7" rear end so we're just making new parts to adapt his existing fixture to work for the 7.5" rear end.

Bought an extra 3rd member housing and started cutting

Image

Image

Image

Machined a plate to mount it to his fixture

Image

Image

Image

6.7" on right, 7.5" on left

Yea, I have the Motor and tranny at the house. My rough draft is since i have motor, tranny, extra kouki harness, spare crossmember, and a few other things. I plan to drop my 16v and have a close to turn-key drop in beams .

Unfortunately I have to go to Afghanistan so my project wont start until I return.

There are a few different part numbers for the 7.5" carrier bearings. Here's the part number for the ones that work with the Kaaz diff...

Image

I received a ton of help to get this part made. It's the last part I needed to complete the jig for the celica-supra rear end conversion.

Image

Again... I made this fixture to match the probably 20 year old 6.7" fixture Marty at AutoComp Race Cars has. Almost finished and then we can get to building the rear ends for my car as well as Will Parson's corolla. Marty is the one who did the cage work on Will's car and is working on improving his (and my) suspension.

Image

Aurora spherical rod ends for the lower control arms...

Image

LCA pieces...

Image

Marty is insisting on corner balancing my car. This means something needs to be adjustable soooooooooooo

Threaded all the way in they are the same length as stock. I'm going to increase track width by 10mm per side. I'm swapping out my NCRCA's with the 60mm RCA's I machined so I will be losing 15mm per side on track width.
