Someone show me how to do front brake pads!

Postby LongGrain » Sat Apr 06, 2013 2:31 pm

This is a stupid question.

So i disassembled my calipers, had them blasted, powder coated, and I just rebuild them.

Now i cant remember how the little clips for the pads go back in so I can put the pads in and put everything back on the hub

can someone please point me in the direction of a how-to on this? or just provide pictures/explanation?

When you have your clips with the bracket in front of you. You can see on the clips that theres a short side and a long side. These short/long sides should line up with the short/long sides on the brackets. Which clips go where, you can see from the pics.

thats great info, thank you, but those diagrams kind of suck and it would also help me if someone had pics of actual calipers, not drawings.

the drawing, 04491 pad kit, shows how they are supposed to go. I tried to google some pics up, but i couldnt find any that showed it close enuff to see the clips.

My build thread is posted in the owner buildup section. Titled "Red Death Revival: Beams"

it is pretty up-to-date..
