All Japanese ecus come with 180 or 190 kph governor, other countries don't have that. So is that an ecu that was made for Europe or Japan 20v bt

Speed limiter is dependant on tachometer/speedometer as far as i know
So unless you have a jdm car i dont think you need it :)

There were only jdm 20v's. Unfortunately they have never been sold in Europe.

I previously used a 20v ECU with a Hks Sld (speed limit defender) so I was able to go past the 180 km/h limit. Mine did about 217 km/h on GPS (in Germany :-))

Its just that jdm tachos dont go past 180.
My friend has jdm ecu and european tacho and it went 197 mph in four gear on dyno.
So no limeter on speed

That has nothing to do with the tacho, your friends most probably hasn't the speed signal wire connected. My Celica with blacktop is cut off at 180 km/h on GPS without the Hks Sld so there absolutely is a limiter.

Speed signal wire is connected.
He bought a greddy limit remover for it but didnt have to use it.
Very weird.

that's weird, maybe someone already messed with the ecu? I've tested a 5 and 6-speed ECU with my own car and both had the limiter at approx 180 km/h
