Help finding the right coilovers for track/circuit use
I AM LOOKING FOR A SET OF COILOVERS WITH A SPRING RATE OF 14K FRONT AND POSSIBLE 9K REAR. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
Re: HELP FINDING THE RIGHT COILOVERS FOR TRACK/CIRCUIT USE
It will be tough finding anything off-the-shelf that will work good with those spring rates. Perhaps try Fortune Auto since they offer custom rates AND valving (plus they're US domestic). If you have deep pockets many companies like KW will build a setup to your specs.
FYi, over time your chassis will start to separate at the seems with rates that high. I hope you have the car fully caged and seem welded.

How did you come up with those rates? I would highly advise not running such high spring rates. The car already doesn't turn with proper spring rates. Going that high will make things much worse.

Deuce Cam, yeah I was looking at a little over $2,000 for the coilovers but I'm still doing more research on this decision.

Gotzoom, I came up with that rate looking up other vehicle models and track time with those rates on similar vehicle set ups, I know it's gonna be a hella stiff ride but I'm ok with that, cause I think when upgrading coilovers I should make a 5 step up, but what do you suggest friend?

Just because other models use such high spring rates doesn't mean it's the right for this chassis , every car will utilize different springs depending on setup , weight of car , type of damper . You can't just assume a spring right is fine to use because a different model is using it . I've been using 8k front 6 k rear and it's a good spring rate to start with. The stiffer the spring rate the wider/sticky tire to may need because the tire will hear up faster . You have to test and find what's best for you style of driving

This famous AE86 racecar had 10-14kgm front springs depending on wet or dry conditions.

The car you linked is a full Group A spec car running on slicks, what sort of tyres do you want to run? 14K front will be useless without at least a 225 slick and some serious aero.
