I would be interested in this as ill be tossing a ST 20v in my coupe next year and was looking at the dizzy relocation but this sounds way better. Add me to the list of interested parties!

Will the COP controller be compatible with the JDM MAP ECU as well as the USDM MAP ECU? It would be a great piece to replace bad ignitors!

NA or GZE?
The first one done will be compatible with GZE, 20v, 3SGTE, etc. The AFM NA distributors are different. We are still discussing if it would be worth making one for them. I am guessing the NA MAP motor uses the same NA dizzy but I'm not sure.

Yes, the NA MAP uses the same signals as the GZE and 20v. I ask as I am considering using the MAP setup I have for my MR2. I have 1 ignitor setup for it, and if it goes out finding a replacement is getting harder by the moment. I would like to be able to have this setup on my FX16, which is, and will be, USDM AFM.

In that case it should work.

1ZZ seem to be pretty easy to find. It's what my 20v cover is designed for and what I plan on designing a 16v valley cover for.

When is the projected date that these might be available?

I am still waiting on the completion of the working prototype.
The electrical engineer doing all the hard stuff is doing this as a pet/side project so it's going to come down to how much time he has.
I would love to see the first run in the next two months but I can't make any guarantees right now. Once the working prototype is done I will be able to give a more accurate ETA for the first run.

Super interested since I just dropped $250 on a new igniter and found out they dont make reman GZE distributors. Getting rid of the ignitor, coil, wires, ect adds a significant amount of reliability as well. This might be the make or break of me selling off my GZE swapped vehicle.

I'd love a setup for the JDM 16V on stock JDM ECU.

I do keep getting little updates from the electrical engineer. It is moving forward. He is pretty close to having the working prototype running on his car. I hope to have more exciting updates soon.

I'm interested in one for the 20v! I'm putting together a swap right now! though is sounds like I'll end up switching to the cop at a later time, for now I'll just cut and re-weld my firewall. :D

interested! Is the prototype done yet? Will this be similar to the KKT module except not programmable?

Things are still moving along.
I have a rev1 module here that I haven't had time to wire in. It is not fully functional and I need to figure out what id can and can't do.
My elecrical engineer has had his 16v NA running on the rev1 and now the rev2 and is working out kinks in the system. I am bummed I haven't been able to put more energy into this myself but I am probably hitting around 80 hour weeks right now so spending 2 min to update a thread is about all I got right now.
Hopefully more updates soon.

My engineer is looking for someone near Maryland with a GZE or 20v he could use for testing this. Let me know if you can help.

if not enough response try hitting up www.ectoyotas.com/, they are based on the east coast, and might have a member near your engineer

It's hard to give an exact date as every step has taken a lot longer than we expected. Right now we have a finalized, tested and proven design. We have found a case that I am 90% sure is the one we will be using. The engineer is now modifying the PCB design to work with the size of the case. So we are pretty close to getting the first run manufactured. Maybe 2-4 months.

Cool, just looking into it. $ months might be where my engine starts looking less like parts as well.
