The silkk roads I had were hitting the steering shaft and it whould have to go damn near in the middle of one of the primaries to fit so I got cheap eBay ones now :-/ oh and you can buy my silkk roads if you want lol will fit RHD

Unfortunately I only have a P/S rack but if it clears that shouldn't it clear the manual rack?
On this current design it will be easy to converge the primaries before the rack and have just the two secondaries pass by the rack which should buy a lot more room.
I will hope to do the same with other designs.

it would make sense that it would fit manual steering if it fits with power steering. manual rack is smaller without any hoses and that shiz.

yea i agree, if it fits the p/s rack it should work on the manual rack...have you tried clearance with the cusco mounts? i didnt know they were different from stock besides the bushing...the old mounts i took out looked very similar in shape and size

Okay so some people have shown interest but some haven't made it clear which they are interested in.

Let's start a list.
This is not a commitment to buy, just a very serious interest list. Basically if you would buy if the quality was good and the price was roughly around $600 for mild steel and roughly $1200 for Stainless.

While I want to make my own design and would love to make it similar to the mockup I posted here I cannot justify making two different manifolds unless enough demand was there.
Since we already know some people will not buy my current design I have to decide if there is anyone who would buy my current design but wouldn't buy something like the JSP manifold.

So lets do it like this.
Put your name.
Say whether you want mild steel, stainless or would be open to either. I can ceramic coat manis so that is also an option for the stainless or mild steel.

Then say whether you would take something similar to option1 or options two or if you would buy either.

Option 1.
I won't do a direct knockoff but it would have heavy influences of the JSP mani and possibly others.
I would try to get the primaries longer while still merging before the steering rack. I would also try to get them as close to equal length as possible.

Image
Possibly a little higher.
Not as high as this but maybe somewhere in between.
Image

Option 2. Would require an AW11 distributor and custom heat shield.
I believe it would have a much better visual flow as well as exhaust flow.
If I made it to fit without the cruise control bracket it would probably fit much better and give the dizzy more clearance. How many people run cruise control on these things any way?
Image

So

1. Phianist
Stainless steel
Option 1 or Option 2

2. Tor Parts
Mild steel
Option 1

Maybe we should talk a little more about the cruise control bracket. Does anyone run it?
If I could move that I could probably get enough room to run the stock dizzy. Maybe with a bracket or something to hold the wires away from the header.

Just want to clear up that the 4ag header I sell is equal length. Please do not make assumptions not based on facts.

My apologies then. Maybe it's just optical illusion. Cyl one looks considerably shorter to me. Forgive my assumption.

I already remove my cruise control unit...
I think most people can live with out cruise control but they want AC And PS lol
I saw a design online which look like what your is... Not too sure if it fitted in the ae86 or other chassis.
I can live with the high rise none jsp but make it 4-2-1... Stainless

option 2 just requires the aw11 dizzy cap right? anyhow...i would go for option 2 or option 1, stainless...

I have been slammed trying to get my CNC up and running.
I'm going to try to finish up this prototype in the next week or so.
Since I haven't heard any one mention any attachment to the cruise control bracket I think I will move the header out further and hopefully be able to clear the stock dizzy.

Just wanted to pop in and express my interest.

Spec Suggestions:

1) Ability to work with LHD cars with both types of racks and clear the floor (duh)
2) Flange holes for 20v and 16v bolt configs
3) 4-2-1 pipes if possible
4) price under 450
5) EGR bung (not a deal breaker)

Sorry guys, been way sidetracked trying to get my CNC running and getting some parts out that I have been promising to people for a while.
It should be able to be left unattended while I do other projects lol but it's still in the workin the bugs out phase so as soon as I walk away something happens lol.

I got a little further with it but I'm still trying to work out fitment. Hopefully I'll have more to show in the next couple weeks.

I thought this thread was about an exhaust header.... what I see is an intake manifold flange....

Speaking about an intake flange... yoshi... why don't you make this......

Image

that is an adapter that allows the entire ITB assembly (both silver, and black) - including the base housing the vacuum, and the throttle mounts to mount to a smallport.

It is but I was just showing what I have been busy with lately lol.
I do plan on making an ITB adapter.
I do personally like the idea of keeping the complete ITB unit instead of just the throttles.

I know, sorry it's taken so long. Not blowing you off. Just trying to make a lot happen with not nearly enough resources.
Still moving forward. I should have a much better update in the very near future.

I'm liking this. Not sure if it will fit a 7AGE? Anyone?

I think it should.
The first piece is being made as we speak. It will come to me for test fitting and inspection before going to phanist. I could slap my 7A block in the mockup car for a test fit.

If it clears the 7age, i will definitely be interested.
Hopefully I can also jump on on the conrod presale soon well. Thanks so much!

I am in need of a header but money is tight. my car is bone stock with PS, AC, and cruise control. Is there a simple non wild header that you can make with quality collectors, and a flex section? something similar to Ebay headers with better quality? I could spare around 400 on a simple header design. I am open to mild steel as well if it can be coated for Utah salty winters.

Is this manifold ever going to be complete?
It take way too long. Way pass a year now... What is going on man?

I know man, I feel horrible at this point.
I sent this to a header builder because they should be able to do it faster, cheaper and easier than me. Unfortunately this means I have to wait on someone else's timeframe.
I have been trying to be patient and part of it is that I put this project off for too long so I can't hold that time against them but it is starting to get ridiculous. I have been waiting more than two months to see anything from them now.
I am trying to resolve the situation and will let you know as soon as I know anything.
