I have a SilkRoad header on my ae86 LHD. From what I understand, you can not run it with PS. Has to be a manual rack.

Pretty sure it can be done with a bit of effort...

Whoops... my bad, I didn't even know that Silk Road made a 4>2>1 !!!

I think that you are gonna have to visit an exhaust specialist who can TIG
stainless, and discuss a little cut and weld to make it fit.

Yup

These 20v LHD are hopeless especially with PS rack...
But thank for the input

Jondee

Post have a picture of the silk road 4-1 installed with PS in place... Right?
I guess the question on that is. Is that a 4-2-1 header or 4-1?
I have a 16v 4-1 maybe trd maybe copy and it fit without any problem.
But this header i got is 4-2-1.

The hi-rise headers are 4>1 so both pics above are 4>1.

Did you get this one ??

yes that the one :(

is there any help with that?...........it look nice ok but fitment bad...i just order an manual rack setup...if that go help.
the part that hit the steering shaft is the merge between 4-to 2 and with both of it running parallel it too wide and would hit the steering shaft ..and of course the PS rack didn't help by being a bit tall

Looks like a nice piece, but I don't think there are a lot of them around. And
making it fit is more than anyone can do over the interweb. You really need to
figure how far it has to move over, and how far it has to lift (make some marks
on the tubes with a sharpie) and go talk to a clever exhaust guy. He should be
able to tell you if it is doable.

Yes... but find a guy who can TIG weld stainless, not some Jiffy Lube place that just
fits readymade exhausts.

You can see that the P/S rack is fatter, but it installs with centerline of the rack and
the steering input shaft in the same position. The P/S rack has a lot of tubes that can
be in the way also... take a look at your own car and figure where you would be saving
space for the install.

Look like if i switch over to a manual rack i maybe fit it with mod tread u post above from the other forum.
But keeping the ac unit become a problem if i take the PS off

Neither option it would cost money to get it fit

No don't bang it up! Change the rack or something, but please don't tear up a quality part like that.

I'll try one more time to fit it without banging the header...the picture jonder posted sure look like the PS was stil in place. But that with silk road 4-1 header... So fitmentit a bit different here.. But maybe with a little push and pull then tie thing up... Before i bang it...
Lol really dont want to spend a couple more hundred to pay the shop to cut and reroute it...
Unless
Some
One out there interest in this piece maybe i sell it

You know that question you had about ruining the performance of the header. You probably just did that, post pictures of where you hammered. If you hammered the collector, you would have messed up THE part that makes the power.

You could have sold yours for $600 or more then afford one that fits. But banged up, you devalued it significantly. Well done.

Alright, gentlemen. He made a mistake. He knows that. How about we help him recover instead of taunting him like schoolyard dickheads?

Just an idea.

i would just cut out the part you destroyed and weld in a new section. got a pic of the carnage? i have a manual rack with 20v BT. its got a header but... its a cheap ebay thing. not sure if it would fit if i had PS. maybe john (JSPfab.com) will be able to make something for you.
anyway post pics of the damage and how much you would sell for.
