20v blacktop 02 sensor

hi guy

i have question. when doing the swap for the ae86 20v swap. you need to use a 4 wires 02 sensor..
but which one?. i mean is it the air fuel ratio sensor or the oxygen sensor?

is that a toyota part number?
i try go to toyota dealer and ask for 1998 corolla 02 sensor and they tell me which one..lol and ask me for a vin number

im looking at this denso on amazon

As far as I know the AE111 was not sold in the US, nor any car fitted with
the 20V BT engine. So the sensors are JDM and US dealers will not have the
O2 sensor listed as a standard part. It will be special order from Japan,
and $$$. I have read that some people have had success using sensors from
other vehicles. I think the Denso one may work, but you need to check that
the plug and flange fittings are correct for your engine.

if you have blacktop you can use a 3sge o2 sensor from an mr2

does it matter where i mount the sensor to? i using neither trd 4-1 header or the copy cat of it.. where is the best place to mount this sensor to? i see some guuy mount it on the header by #4 cylinder ... or should i mount it after all port merge at down pipe>?

^this. OBS sells an O2 sensor for a sw20 mr2(3SGTE) on ebay for $60, works fine. i have it running in my 20v swap

I purchased the same one for my 20v swap, have yet to install everything though. And I believe he meant OBX

You need to modify the connector slightly or use old O2 sensor pigtail and repin it.

its easy, dont be detered by either. to mod the plug, just take teh white "rib" out from the inside(clip it off the rest of the white plastic piece) and sand down the outer edges.
