Minor Leak found on top of water pump assembly..

What could be the problem? bad water pump?

There are two o-rings inside that assembly that keep it from leaking in the picture you provided. That tube comes from the upper water neck down to the actualy pump/ lower neck. But yeah, there are two o-rings that see the top part and the lower part of that tube. You most likely have to replace those. You will need to drain the coolant, remove the sensors on the upper water neck, undo the two upper water neck bolts, and pull outwards/upwards on the water neck. This will take it off and you will see the two o-rings. Replace those and reinstall in the opposite order. Good luck!

You can get them from the dealership, they even still carry that little tube if it's a rusty and scuzzy. Me personally, I bought a big box of metric O rings from the parts store. You can replace all the O rings on your engine with them. The distributor, water bypass, water pump to block, and oil dipstick.
