4age pistons in 4ac?

Im sure this has been asked before, but a search didnt turn up anything, anyhow, I was wondering if oem spec 4age pistons would fit in the 4ac block with the 4ac head? I read that the blocks are relatively the same and even the rods are the same. Would the pistons work and could I expect any noticeable difference swapping the pistons? Would anything else need to be done? The main reason I ask is that my rings are bad, so I figure why not put something better if it will work since I will be in there. It probably wont work though since the 4ac head is a silly 8 valve.
