electrical issue? having weird problems
So lately driving at night when I have to use the lights I notice during acceleration the lights flicker a lot, even the passenger side light would go completely in and out. I changed the bulb thinking maybe that was the issue, made sure the connector was on the light secure and it still did it with a different bulb. Checked grounds and they were fine. Earlier today noticed the driver side bucket wanted to go down on it's own so I had to disconnect the connector from the light motor to keep the lights up without worrying about it drooping down. Even the passenger side turn signal light wanted to stay on by itself without the turn signal switch being pushed up or down. What could cause this? is it possible there's a short in my whole front harness that controls all of that stuff ? or maybe do I need to add another ground ? never had these issues before it's getting pretty old, any help would be much appreciated thanks!

I would start off by checking the harness that hooks up your headlights. This harness travels through the tirewell. So if you dont have splash guards and your car is lowered, it is possible your tire is rubbing on the wires. I would check that out first. It sounds like its something to do with it having a loose ground or some bad wires.

didn't even think about the wires hanging in the wheel well, i'll definitely check that out now i hope it isn't anything much

I don't know how much of the harness is shared by the headlights and other lights but if you don't find them all chafed in one place, the one thing they definitely have in common is the turn signal/high beam combo switch. Or the connector coming off that. Could be the switch, or the connector, as well.
By the way, in the engine bay fuse box there's one marked "RTR" that is the ReTRactor motor fuse. Pull that fuse while the headlights are up, and the motors get disconnected so they will stay up. This is also a safety procedure for anytime you have fingers in the headlights, like when you're changing one of them. Pull the RTR and you don't have to worry about breaking lights, or fingers. Easy to reach it, too.

well i'll be dammed you hit this one right on the head, i looked under the driver side fender well and sure enough like 4-5 wires were cut because of the tire, going to have fun fixing these wires up but at least i got down to it didn't think to look under there so thanks again!
I will say this though, the last time i removed the harness and put it back, i made sure that lock ring that holds the wires in place i definitely made sure it was locked tight, looks like i might resort to using a hose clamp since it's metal and not plastic and hopefully this doesn't happen again
