Re: Help: stripped wire
WHAT CAR IS IT, YEARMAKEMODEL, any electrical modifications?????
Left/Drivers side kick panel, right?
What doesn't work when it's un-plugged?
You could check the continuity between where it plugs in and each of the fuses, then knowing the fuse, the fuse diagram will tell which accessory its for.
Musta been a lotta smoke & smell for someone!

Re: Help: stripped wire
that looks like a WHT / BLK, typically ground. If it's TAN /BLK, then i dunno, but that plug looks like the main cluster that powers that fuse box considering the BLK / RED.
my suggestion to you is follow it, make sure that's the only problem wire. pull out the connector using a pick. Get a roll of shrink wrap, slide the shrink wrap over the wire. shrink it.

Re: Help: stripped wire
would be better to replace the wire. oxidization will ruin that wire because of the heat that made the insulation come off.
