Odd brake issue (SR5 > GTS rear end conversion)

Postby 4acto1uz » Wed Jul 31, 2013 5:39 pm

I have a 85 SR5 coupe with a GTS rear disc to disc swap, tanabe lowering springs and tokiko blue struts.

So my ebrake has been terrible since I bought the car so I decided to adjust the brakes, when I ran into an odd issue. I jacked the car up and unbolted the caliper and when I went to flip it up to adjust it, it would not flip up.The ebrake cable is contacting one of the closest links, and this is at full droop. In order to get it off I had to unbolt the entire assembly which was a nightmare to get back on because it kept hitting when I tried to putt he pads back on.

It doesn't seem possible that the calipers are on the wrong side, but I didn't put in the GTS rear end, anyone ever have this problem? Is the ebrake cable supposed to be on the bottom of the caliper?
