I press on the button an no whirrl sound and nothing, where do I find out if the switch is bad or the pump needs replacing?
Where can I find a replacement pump?
Windsheild water pump not working
Re: Windsheild water pump not working
Pump used to be an off-the-shelf/rack, almost universal, over 15 years ago.
Check out any parts house.
Don't known if the switch powers the pump, of if the pump is already powered & only grounded by the switch. Doubt there's a relay.

Doubt it, it's at the bottom with its impeller at the bottom, so I'm pretty sure that 2cm/1in would have the impeller immersed/flooded.
The motor's brush's are probably corroded from a leaking shaft seal.
If I ever get another one it will get a weep hole.
Re: Windsheild water pump not working
My old Mustang had an extra "left of left" foot pedal. Push down on the pedal, rubber bulb squeezed, water came up on the washers. No motors, mo power except your left foot.
And then one day it leaked and some wiper fluid got into the high beam switch, which was located on the left floor where god and henry ford agreed it ought to be....smoke came up behind the dash.
Wash windshield, set car on fire. Ah, only Ford could invent that.
