Fender trim questions??

So this is my second gts coupe that has plastic fender trim and trunk garnish. So the trunk is different the quarters are different and the fenders are different. What the heck is up with it. I was told its a black limited coupe. But my research says there was no hatch limited. Help!!

mines a black on black on black 87' gts.....same thing.

Toyota never made a black limited coupe they only made black limited hatches who ever told you it's black ltd go kick his balls...

No it's not like that. I jus bought it a a a clean coupe shell. I was just wondering. I know the whole limited story. Just wondering about this things. I like the look of the limiteds. And I think I'm going to build a "black limited coupe-alike". Because coupes are better than hatches. Lol. Just picked this think up. It's my 4th 86. (I own 3 currently). And I'm going to build this as a clean DD rhd car. (My other 2 I own now are caged purpose built track cars). And I think I'm going to do all black. And gold lettering and all that whatnot. It would look nice. Hehe

okay, so im confused by your first post.....you say you picked up another coupe with fender trim, and trunk garnish, and was told it was a black limited coupe....? confirmed, no unicorn of such, so you have a kouki gts coupe, right?

Sorry so confusing bi just picked up a coupe shell. Noticed the fender trim and remembered one of my others has the same thing. (Under the flares. And the trunk is now cf). And am wondering if any of the 86 gurus know why these things have them. It's not a "mod" the fenders quarters and trunk lid are completely different on these. And am wondering if there is a story behind them.
