Alignment setup tips?

Well looking to do a alignment on my 86 just want some advice and tip on alignment specs. The car will be used for drifting. The suspensions is all fully adjustable too. Just need some good start off point. Thanks.

I agree with the more aggressive numbers proposed by HASport AE86. The car has a high center of gravity, so it rolls a lot and you end up with dynamic positive camber if you don't have a lot of static camber. You need a lot of front camber in order to have somewhat decent tire wear too. Since you have no rear camber, the rear tires wear heavily on the outside. If you don't run enough camber up front, you'll have the same problem there.

You won't be able to get much more than 3 degrees of camber with stock lcas and camber plates, so you need to get some longer arms to get to 4 or more degrees of camber. I run 4.5 degrees and it seems pretty good for my purposes. If you run that much camber on a road driven car, you will hate it, though. The car will be super twitchy and want to follow every small crack in the road.

my usual settings for drift:
toe: factory spec
camber: -4degrees
caster: +3degrees

my usual settings for grip:
toe: 0
camber: -3degrees
caster: +2 or +2.5degrees

gotzoom is right, anything higher then -3 camber is almost impossible without length adjustable control arms or NRCA. fortunately i have both, so i can go even more, the great thing about the length adjustable control arms is you can get a more responsive turn in as you are essentially widening the track of your front tires. also great for steering angle during hard drifting.

this setup is very stable for me - and rotation speeds are perfect for my driving preference. - very controllable yet predictable.

toe - 0.0
camber - -2.85
caster - +2.75

everyone has different driving styles and preference on how it handles. Choose one setup and work to getting your own specific setup for your driving style.

2.7 caster (going to raise this closer to 3.0 when my car is ready again)
slight toe out (i forget the measurement, maybe 1/16")
