If I was to purchase these shocks. Would it work with TRD Race Springs or Swift Non Coilover for the AE86 without shortening the strut assembly?

Yes. They are physically the same as the short stroke version.

with a non-shortened casing would it be an issue with a lowered height and the desired function of the TRD springs?

No, as long as you use the included spacer that comes with it. It should keep the TRD springs in place during rebound.

I stand corrected. I am also using HTS112 with intrax progressive springs. After looking at your hachiroku post, my HTS112 came with the regular spacer size that came with the HTS102, a 2~3 mm washer under the gland nut. I did not need to create a top spacer and there is no play after installation. The intrax springs once installed have a good amount of preload.

the stronger TRD springs are less extended(shorter) when loose than an OEM spring. Because of this the HTS102 opens less then the 112, to hold shorter length springs

to Garage7RP... I had the same spacer... it was too long for my application, I had a friend cut it in half, and make an equal amount he cut off, for the top spacer

can this function with any lowering springs?
