I heard that its possible to put them on an AE86, how is it done though?
Also, would it work with my Celica Supras? I have the 14x7s.

you will need a coustom brake caliper bracket. the ae86 brake lines apparently bolt up. you will need 15 inch rims but i have heard of a way to get them under some 14s
there is as company in austrailia that makes the custom brackets to fit fc/fd calipers. for the rotors i believe the front mini cooper rotors or the civic rotors will work.

Ive considered this update to the brakes, but after everything said and done, I think I will spend a few extra pennies for the T3 Wilwood Kit.

Have you prices out everything you need for the FC converstion? Calipers, pads, lines, brackets etc? The Willwood T3 Kit is $900, so to me while it is more expensive, they are new and work great and finish off the look. But if cost is a very high factor, then you can save a few hundred and go with the FC conversion.

T3 also makes a matching rear big brake kit. Dont forget you will likely have to rebuild the FC calipers as well.

I really don't mind doing the rebuild, there is something that has always seemed cool about taking parts from other cars and swapping them on to me. Call me a bit crazy.

I'm in the process of getting it done myself but its just like SidekickChuck said they are both almost in the same ball park when it comes down to money here is my list the FC calipers at the Junk yard $60 Pair, FC Caliper Rebuild Kit $38 on Mazdatrix, Mini Copper S Rotor(Drilled & Slotted) $120, Re-drilled to fit the Ae86 $40, Hawk Brake Pads $60 or you can go to Autozone and get them for $35, You can use your old brake lines cause they fit on the new caliper so i used my steel braided lines i had on my Ae86 $0, I went ahead and powder coated my calipers do give them a new and clean look so that was $70 and lastly the bracket to fit them on the Ae86 was $200 = $588 (but if you don't have Steel braided brake lines that's another $120 for a total of = $708) and i agree with you the FC caliper just gives the Ae86 an aggressive look to it Love it good look with your build...now to my understanding 14'' rims are out the window cause the caliper will rub so 15'' is a must if your going to run the FC caliper there is a group by right now for the bracket and i believe they are going for $230 or so good price then you will need to buy the Mini Copper Rotors and have them re-drilled to fit on the ae86 as far as the calipers go check out some of the Mazda Forums a lot of guys on there explain step by step how to rebuild them hope this info helps

pointless upgrade if you're motor isn't putting out more than 200whp.
Honestly save your money on this upgrade because it's going to run you about $300+ not counting if you have to buy bigger wheels and tires.
Your stock calipers will do just fine.
I have seen and driven in 86's with f20c and their stock brakes works fine.
A nice pair of pads and upgrade your lines and new fluid does wonders.

I was recommended to use the Porterfield R4-S pads and SS lines with DOT4 fluid. I think I will go this route for now to really get a feel for how much improvement there is. I drove around pretty hard last weekend and had to hit the brakes pretty hard a few times, and didnt like the stopping distances.
Any opinions on the Porterfield R4-S pads, lines, and fluid for my ~145 RWHP application?

I have a 20V blacktop in my 86 and am using:
Rebuilt Centric calipers, R1 Concepts slotted rotors, Porterfield R4-S and stainless lines up front
OEM 30yr old calipers, 88rotors slotted rotors, Autozone pads with stock lines in the rear
ATE Super Blue fluid.
I have no problems braking while on the track.
