coolant sensors???
coolant sensors???
Hi guys just picked up a 85 corolla with a 4ac engine. anyways can you guys tell me what these to sensors are on the top??? thanks

Re: coolant sensors???
hmmm i dont know because i never see or have an 4ac motor before.. but i bet if u pull those off and run to the junkyard and look at an 1980 and up toyota... look for it around those water outlet rear and front..
if u find the same size sensor it should work for u.. it my guess...
i think the smaller sensor to left is maybe a 17mm socket and the right side is 19mm .. take it off and find one to replace them at the Jyard.. and plug them in .. as for which plug is for what.. im guessing water temp. for gauge ..

Re: coolant sensors???
I'm not sure if you still need the answer, but the red one on the left is the temperature detect switch and is part number 89427-16020. The right is the thermostatic vacuum switching valve (TVSV) and the part number is 90925-02076. I know the TVSV is still available at Toyota and is something like $140. I just had to replace it in one of my Corollas.
