Staggard or square??

Postby Flipp » Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:57 am

ok so question. running a N/A 4age in an 86, do you run square (non- staggard) wheels? a sqaure setup with a lower offset in the rear? or would you benefit more from a staggard wheel setup? your thoughts...
this is applying for drift and autoX i dont hit the track too often.

what i hear is that if your using a higher HP application, then the staggard setup would benefit you more because you would need more traction in the rear, but a lower HP application would go better with a squared setup. just wanna hear your guys thoughts... :)

staggered*

Depends on your preference, and the kind of power you have.

Staggered, regardless of your power I think a staggered set-up would be more beneficial in the handling department. But then again, these cars are so light I'm sure it doesnt really matter.
For looks staggered :D

Squared, but huge. 14 or 15x9 -16 all around. Pillow rubber for grip, smaller for drift.

just a mild red top high comp build going on right now, looking to make somewhere in the range of 130whp. well see. was just curious to what people would say about the subject. i may run staggard just for cruising around but then switch to square for the events. well see.
