7age clutch

Postby ae86xy » Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:56 pm

Just finished my full rebuild on the 7age months ago this is going on my 86 gts

My question is will my rwd clutch will work on a 7sfe flywheel or I would need to get a rwd 4ac flywheel in order to work.

any 200mm clutch oughta be fine if you're using stock 7afe flywheel (is 7sfe flywheel also 200mm?)

im currently looking for a lightweight flywheel for better response and have found some info regarding 7afe (6-bolt) being compatible with 4ac flywheels, and 4ac's being compatible with 3tc/2tc flywheels. and aftermarket is quite larger with the 3tc/2tc's... found one supplied with lightweight 3tc flywheels...
but just gonn settle with dropping my oem flywheel off at a machine shop and have them butcher it up for me and hopefully save some skrill over dropping 200+ for lightened 3tc flywheel that i found...

I'm using a 4AC flywheel. A lot of 4AC guys have tried different 3TC flywheels and I can't say for sure if any ate successful. Hit up Max here on the forums, he can get em.

yep^

talked to max last night about lightweight flywheel options for the 7AGE. and he mentioned he has some 6-bolt 8lbs flywheels available for them. think he said pricing was like $200-300ish iirc. (i'll ask him about again today).
but I'm going to be picking one from him and run it.
