I am considering selling my sr5 and putting a little extra on top to buy this(save myself the trouble i nthe long run), but i dont know if its worth it or not. The guy didnt give me much info on it, just said it runs good. I havent gone to see it myself yet.

This is the car:

It appears to be an original GTS not much done to it or tampered with. Motor looks healthy and all there. Everything seems original. It will need paint. And those horrible wheels need to go. Probably on cut springs as well...The guy is asking 4900. I think 4900 is a bit too much seeing as it is stock, needs paint, and despite what he said that it needs nothing, its 26 years old and im pretty sure will need something, right? What would you all pay for it? and why?

fully stock, runs, its in too bad of shape, and interior is all there and not too shabby. i would pay 2k tops. it is 26 years old, but then again maybe the guy knows what he has. see if you can talk him down. doesn't look too bad man.

and yes please get rid of those ugly wheels.

Honestly I would pay more for a stock car than a riced out one (depending on the modifications). The price depends where you live it seems. In SoCal where everyone has one they're worth less than up here on the east coast where a non-rusted one is almost impossible to find.

I think $4900 is a bit high but, I do agree with Grant. I'd pay more for an all stock GTS than for a modified one.
I know around here, SR5s are going for anywhere from $800 to $2000(which most of them are not running, hah) and GTS' are going for $3500 up to $7800 for a built one.

If you want it that bad, tell him what its going to need and how much its going to cost to fix it and bring cash.

Do you guys think 3000 is too low to offer him for it? Considering that he wants 4900 I dont think he would want to go so low, but i just dont think it is worth 5000. I think 5K is too much especially since with that kind of money I could pick myself up a decent GC8 impreza lol

just come to him with the 3k in cash and tell him to take it or leave it. cash in hand tends to change minds like that. good luck homie.

rumsawatti=if your not sure of the cars mechanical state, mileage & god knows whatever else he's not disclosing, dont take that risk in offering anything yet..Meet up with the guy & car in person. Drive it, then negotiate with an offer

That's the air snorkel that connects to the airbox. It is there to reduce intake noise, and quite valuable since most people threw them away.
