Paint Question

Postby John H. » Thu Feb 28, 2013 11:18 am

Just a quick question.
I was wondering if there have ever been corollas (AE86s)
from the factory, that have the engine bay painted a different color
from the rest of the car? I wouldn't think so, but I guess it's not impossible.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Actually yes, it IS impossible. At least, for the AE8#es that are usual here. The entire metal body is painted in one shot, there is no way for the factory to paint parts of it in different colors.

Now if you had an old Ford, you might find plain black sheet metal for the fender liners, etc. but that's from before they all shifted to "bolt it and then paint it". Could be the same for an old old toyota, but by the 80s? Nope. All one color.
