What’s the best way to paint the JDM bumpers

Postby yabaiani » Wed May 04, 2022 11:23 am

So I have a question. I have the JDM front and rear bumper and I just want to restore it to the same way it looks, with that SEM trim black color that it has on the lower part and the white paint on the top.

My question is more on the black polyurethane part…what’s the best way to paint it? Very curious on how to get that OEM look. Is it with trim black paint or a specific flat paint?

Thanks in advance!

Looking good man, I just wrote up a little reply aimed for a DIY guy but it looks like you work in a body shop too? I would just try a grey pad and adhesion promoter before the trim black. and hit it with the lamp just to be safe.

Are you going two tone? looks very tricky to mask

Yeah, doing two tone. The car originally came with it so just putting it back the way it came
