I've been wondering what's the difference between jdm bumper and jdm skin?
I was told that the oem jdm bumper is real and doesnt crack, and the jdm skin type is crackable?
is this true?? or they just use the term skin to replace bumper??

I think "bumper skin" is mean just the bumper only without brackets?

Aftermarket bumpers are the fibeglass bumpers that crack, jdm (bumper/skin) are the OEM type bumpers that are the plastic bumpers that don't crack or shatter like the fiberglass ones...

it all makes sense now.
Let's say the bumper aka skin is damage, like a dent, or tear. could it be repairable?

Yeah, it can be fixed. I got a free zenki rear bumper back in 2005. The previous owner said the gash on the side was caused from a drunk driver:

A bumper skin is the plastic outer shell, its the part that everyone wants. The actual BUMPER is what takes the blunt of the damage, often called a bumper support.

It's the same thing. Like header vs exhaust manifold. The OEM parts catalog just calls them a "skin".
