I've got a prosthetist friend who showed interest when I told him about my failed attempts at making replacement door cups for the molded, single piece zenki door panels. The ones I had were UV degraded beyond reasonable repair, and I'm assuming that's a common issue. I was never able to find replacement cups easily except for a maroon set for nearly $100.
If that hasn't changed, is there any interest in a small batch of reproductions? My friend has access to materials needed for a small run in his lab. His idea was to make them using Kydex, but I believe carbon fiber and/or fiberglass is possible too. In any case, I'll be providing him my door cups to develop some molds and make a trial pair. Should have a better idea of price by then too, but it will be cheaper than the OEM set.

I would probably buy some, I have been considering making up a set for a while... got to do light blue!

I would be interested in a blue set.

Any pictures of what they would look like? I currently don't have any cup holders at all.
[I have no idea what I'm doing]

This is not a cup holder for drinks, this is a molded little plastic insert that fits into the handle where you pull the door closed.
