I have decided to go this route and put a 4ag in my 82 te72.
Looking for help in what all I will need
I know I'll need a front shaft half for the driveshaft, 86 engine crossmember, different gas tank if I went efi, etc
I am not changing from steering box to rack and pinion. Will I have conflict with keeping my steering box or not? I've been told I can keep it and cannot keep it.

Re: te72 4age swap
you have to switch to steering rack if you use the ae86 crossmember. You can keep steering box if you use the TE crossmember and weld the mounts for the 4age on it.
As far as components you need
4age
harness
ecu
gas tank
fuel lines
fuel filter
ae crossmember
ae steering rack
ae steering column
and if you have a big starter transmision your current driveshaft will work.
