Ok so yesterday a bought a tranny for my 86,turns out its a gts and i got an sr5 lol by the looks of it the clutch fork is on the right side,but the older sr5 i took out was on the left side.So my question is will it work?

Just swap bellhousings. Put your SR5 bellhousing on that transmissions and there ya go.

thanks alot im going to try that,but the gts didnt come with a throwout bearing and clutch fork,would the sr5 one fit the gts?

tougeboundcrew, the transmissions from sr5 and GTS's are exactly the same except bell housings.

I'm rocking a SR5 bellhousing on my GT-S, it works just fine, Swap all the stuff over and you'll be good man.

Yes they are all interchangable. I have an SR5 transmission with the clutch fork, bearing, clutch and flywheel from my SR5 inside a GTS bellhousing bolted to a 7A block. It's all good.
