You can turbo ANYTHING.
The question is, how much boost do you plan to run? And how long can the engine take that for?
You want more power, you run more boost. And you replace any parts that can't take it.

well as much boost as a stock engine can handle.

Catch-22, it is not DESIGNED to take any boost. The safety margins in the parts are there to ensure durable performance for some secret number, perhaps 250,000-300,000 miles. Extra metal costs money and hurts profits (Toyota's profits for 2012 Q3 were up 23% over the same quarter of 2011 by the way) so...overbuilt parts?
Get the specs for a 4AGEZ, which was designed for boost. Get the parts for a...wait a minute, at that point it might be cheaper to drop in a 4GZE which is designed for the job and has a matching ECU with timing controls as well. If you want a recipe, that's a good way to start.
I could turn my car into an Indy car, boost it from 112hp to 960hp because they run over 10hp/ci routinely. Of course, those engines are also expected to blow up or melt down after just 700 miles. Everything in between 112hp and 960hp is just a matter of "Do you feel lucky?"
Track car? Some folks would say 1000 miles is all they need for the year. Street car? You might want 30,000. Your choice how to build it. If you want the power AND durability, you'd better have a bankroll.

it would be to expensive to drop a 4agze. So much Shiii you have to do i.e. making clearance for the intercooler, the ecu and wires. etc etc. if the darn motor would just bolt on and i can close the lid and drive then hell i would. i just want to turbo a stock 16v but as some say it wont handle boost.

If you're going to do a turbo without an intercooler, you're only doing half the job. All that "stuff" on the 4AGZE, is there because that's the stuff you need to make a turbo work right, Like the knock sensor and the ECU that can read it.
If you're just lookig for a quick cheap hp boost, just add a nitrous bottle. Way cheaper than half of a turbo job.

i cant have nitrous in the street. I just want to fins an alternative way to turbo with swapping.

if you live in california, turbo will get you busted probably before nitrous will. just nitrous it for cheap and hide the bottle, or drop in 4agze or sr20 if you want to make a sweet turbo 86

my 2 cents

how much is nitrous? And does it fill after I use it?
How does turbo get you busted before nitrous?

You can blow your engine with nos as fast as turbo. But like how everyone said its how you are going to run it and how much in both turbo and nos. yes you can use both on a stock 4ag but just not very high. If you do go this route they have already gave routes to it and more will prolly put more input.
But if you do go that route save for some forged pistons. They are expensive but will be the best for turbo/nos IMO.

if i do turbo i want to put a intercooler of course. What if i get forged pistons with turbo? Is there more ways I can beef the internals without a swap?

rods, crankshaft? Probably some better bearings and piston rings. Which kinda mean you have to yank the engine. And rebuild it. A turbo conversion is much more noticeable then nitrous. The turbine and piping(and inter-cooler) all take a notable amount of room in the engine bay, and are very visible. Nitrous usually just takes a purge line to somewhere in the intake(or from what I have seen)
New to cars?

any way you put it, a half-way reliable turbo setup is going to cost more than going GZE in the first place.
plus turbo corollas suck.

No, turbo isn't magic. It doesn't fill itself, you take it out and fill it, the same way you go out to buy gasoline.
I don't think you mentioned California. When he says turbo will get you busted--that's because a DIY turbo system would be an illegal engine modification in California. If you live and drive in Cali, you'd better find the whole rule book and read it before you touch anything under the hood.
Anything you can't put in your pocket or hang from your mirror, is probably illegal in Cali.
