4age Diypnp Rpm Sync Loss

Postby Eliteg » Wed Jan 27, 2016 6:06 pm

Hey guys, rpm problem

So i have cranking rpm then once it starts and runs for 1 second it loses rpm signal and shuts off.

Diypnp 1.5b, microsquirt v2.2m

4age usdm gts rwd
Distributor 2 wheels
Bottom: 4 tooth
Top: 1 Tooth

I have:
51k resistor in R21

Wiring for vr sensor/rpm's:
Stock Ecu to Diypnp
NE to VRin+
G-to VRin-
G+to VR2
The vr sensor in the dizzy goes to the igniter and transfers it to a wave form and sends it to the ecu.

Trigger:
toothed wheel>dual wheel>4 teeth>0 missing>second trigger active rising>at cam speed

Im using the n/a tune from diyautotune.

this probably has nothing to do with your issue, but it totally reminds me of when I had a loose ground wire going to the VAF. It would fire when ign switch was in START, but as soon as the ignition was back to RUN, the fuel pump shut off, and the car just died. not sure if that's related to the circuit opening relay, or if its even used in the MS system.

good luck!

Hi and welcome to club4AG :)

Unfortunately, this is probably not the best forum for asking...

You would be far more likely to get technical input from the pros
at http://www.msextra.com/forums/index.php

Having said that, when I look at your video I see (a) the TPS starting
at 13% open and rapidly dropping tp zero, and (b) the fuel load stuck
at 93% and not moving. These two things both seem a little unusual
to me... :? Possibly not connected to the engine stopping, but then
I am not familiar with the workings of the MS ECU.
