Re: T50 - NEED HELP
What problem are you trying to solve?
If you feel the gear spacing isn't appropriate for the driving you're doing, the easiest thing to do is to change the final gear ratio. If you're in an AE86, the stock rearend gear ratio is 4.3:1. You can get a lower ratio, something like a 4.1:1 or 3.9:1 to raise the speed in each gear and effectively increase the gear spacing. Going the other way, like with a 4.5:1 or 4.77:1 rear gear reduces the max speed in each gear, effectively shortening the spacing.
For road driving, I feel that the 4.3:1 gear is perfectly suited to the T50 gearbox. That is also a great combination for the NorCal race tracks, with the exception of Thunderhill West.
