This little guy is indeed a factory cruise control cable.
Thanks!

If it's loose, throw it away.
If it isn't, LOOK AT THE OTHER END &figure out what it is connected to, what is is & how it is supposed to work!

I came back to the thread to say the same thing after looking at it this evening. Its an 84' so this SR5 had the option for cruise control and the car indeed has it. After popping off the drivers side speaker cover the ESC is kind of just resting in there. Maybe at some point the person before me was confused and couldnt determine this either and meddled with some stuff. I never noticed it and I never use cruise control. No other SR5s had this in any photos online so I was losing it lol. For now Im thinking it is the cable for the cruise control but ill find out when I find where the heck it goes too. Find the throttle cable and should be right there right?
Just a note, this car only has an unbelievable 20,000 miles on it. Its still just breaking in. Its 100% stock so that means vaccum lines galore and things most people have yanked out by now.
