Yeah, you just use the front half of the GT-S driveshaft with the rear half of the SR5 driveshaft.
There shouldn't be a day that goes by where you don't learn something new.

Not 100% sure I understand your question.

Assuming you have an AE86 SR5, and you want to swap in a 16v 4AGE from an AE86 GTS, yes, you can keep the SR5 rear end. Just keep the SR5 transmission, driveshaft, and rear end the same. Although it isn't required (but it is recommended) you should swap to a GTS T50 bellhousing though.

So the 16v can be run on a automatic transmission? Does not need to b stick shift? Am not very experienced but GTS T50 BELLHOUSING is located where? Just looking to know exactly what I need

If you want to keep the automatic transmission from your SR5, I think you can keep the bellhousing; it should bolt up to the 4AGE. However, I don't know if you'll run into any clearance issues with the 4AGE exhaust.

Not sure what your question is about the GTS T50 bellhousing...

The T50 is the standard manual transmission that comes on AE86s, both SR5 and GTS. If you currently have an automatic, and want to swap, you need a T50 bellhousing. The clutch fork and slave cylinder are on opposite sides of the bellhousing, depending on if your car is a SR5 or a GTS. The GTS bellhousing is preferred.

No worries man, we've all been there at one point :)

Honestly, I'm not an expert on these cars either; I usually Google and find the info I need. If I were you, I'd start by editing the subject of this thread; "Swap" isn't very informative. Something like "Automatic SR5 to 4AGE + T50 Swap - Help!" would be better.

Then I'd post some pics of your car, and the parts you want to swap in. Nothing crazy, just a few angles so everyone here gets an idea of what you're working with.

For a general idea of a 4AC to 4AGE swap, read this:

You'll also have to research swapping from an automatic transmission to a manual one; unfortunately there isn't as much info on that, try using Google though.
