Hi there! I'm trying to take off the shocks from the front struts & I'm stuck. I have the spring compressed already, what's next? Please advise & thank you.

If you have the spring compressed you should be able to take top hat off then have access to strut tube nut?

I do see the strut tube nut, but I don't have an angled open end wrench. That's where I got stuck.

Not an AE86 but close enough
Only comment I would add is that you might find it easier to crack the
main spindle nut loose while the weight of the car is still on the strut.
Don't move it more than a turn or two... just enough to make it easier
to shift once the strut is out of the car.

IF the shock's instructions don't state it, put some oil in the tube to conduct heat away from the new insert to the strut to atmosphere.
