Cant hold an idle (Turbo/ MSPNP2)

Postby ToeKnee805 » Wed Nov 05, 2014 10:44 pm

So ive had my turbo car runing on MSPNP2 for a while now. When i got it tuned I had a broken dashpot on my Throttle body and it held an idle most of the time.

Now i replaced it with a working springy Dashpot and kept my IACV blockoff plate. The issue is that my car wont hold an idle without me resting my foot on the pedal. Is there something i can mess with the MSPNP tune to make it idle a bit better? My AFRs are 12ish-13ish depending how much i rest my foot on the pedal. I tried adjusting the Throttle body pulley to hold the plate open a bit more, but if i do it too much the car will not rev down correctly.

Im kinda stuck having to ebrake when coming to stops because if i let off the gas too much my car turns off.

Can you not adjust the idle the normal way? Screw on the top right of the throttle body.

I looked through your build sheet and it looks like you are running the OEM throttle body. Should be a Flat head screw on the side by the tps.

Sounds like you need to adjust the base idle set screw.
You deff don't want to mess with the throttle stop.
This is all in the FSM.

after small adjustments here and there to the idle screw, was able to get it to idle. i guess i wasnt being patient enough when messing with it.
