anyone have DIY dizzy heat shield?

Does anyone have a write up or an easy way to make a heat shield for the distributor ? Any help at all would be well appreciated :) thanks in advance

I have one from an Mr2 but ae86 dizzys don't have the bolts for it.

Damn that's a lot of info to look through lol oh well I'll get started aha

You can attach the shield using the hold down bolts for adjusting the timing. A little more work you can use the two small screws that hold the wire separater and one hold down bolt. I have also seen shields that use the two screws that hold on the cap. I used the 2nd option. DaveW

I haven't melted a Dizzy cap since I went OEM Toyota Cap and rotor. Knocking on wood like a mofo right now.

What I was thinking was buying some sheet metal and giving it shape around my dizzy to bolt it onto the 12mm bolts already there.

And yeah I've been starting to buy everything OEM from Toyota cus I know that's the only way I know the parts are gonna last me and be reliable.
