Ok, well me being the person I am, usually destructive, I just blew my rear end up. I have 86 GT-S hatchback, I was running a Cressida wagon(7)rear end with some beefy control arms, TRD springs, and AGX shocks in the rear(will be for sale soon haha). Well I decided I had a rough day and coming up to a stop sign I wanted to smell smoke. So I dumped the clutch at 7k and as soon as I did it nothing happened. blah blah blah long story short I blew up my rear end. I dont know what part messed up, I dont care, its time for an upgrade. My car makes over 330hp on its current setup, but has the potential of making 375, I do not plan to make more power any time soon b/c it is already more then enough right now. I generally detune to about 250ish anyway.
For a long time I've been wanted to go IRS simply b/c of corner balancing and more fine tuning points. I decided not to b/c the diff I blew up was cheap easy and all I had to do was drill some holes on the control arm points for the bigger control arms. Now I am pushed into a corner where I want and will go IRS.
I've heard of people using S13 or S14 rear subframes and modding them to fit the ae chassis. Although I have heard of this I have yet to see anyone that has done it. Does anyone have any DIY threads or a website I can visit to investigate what I want to do. The S chassis is cheap, parts are everywhere and you really cant go wrong with one.
Ideas, suggestions, and advice would be appreciated thanks guys

Here's a build log of a fella putting a 1UZ and S13 rear end into a Trueno. It was on the old board too but google found this link first:
I think from memory it's hard to get a low ride height with the setup and then the rear wishbones are at a very steep angle.
I'm sure the pictures are all in the thread
