i was wondering can i just change in rear end on my SR5 to the GTS rear end without having to change the engine tranny right away or if i need to rswap it all out for the set up. i just got the car and i need some input on it.

The diff will bolt straight in, the only thing you will need to change is the tailshaft and the handbrake cables. No need to change the gearbox or engine just for the diff.
