7ac build

I yanked an engine, 7age, from a mid 90s Corolla. What would it take tuning wise to drop a 4ac head and carb onto it? I also have a cam to send off for a regrind when I get tax return. I dont need alot of power I just want a fresher engine with a little bit more torque. I am dropping a built Ford 347 or 363 into the car when I get money to buy a wrecked donor car to fabricate on.

You mean you pulled a 7afe from a corolla?

Those two links should give you most of what you need to know for 7ac. If I were you though, I would carb a 4age head and put it on the 7afe block creating a 7age. Better end result all around and close to the same amount of work. Just my opinion though..

I would but I need a knee replacement and cannot drive a 5 speed because of that. The 4age requires a maunal transmission to run due to the bellhousing. If I can run an automatic and a 4ag head I will go that route but a 7ac is also a direct drop in.

4age head will fit on that block attached to an automatic tranny. A series engines fit all the same trannies.

Even though the automatics have the starter on the driver side?

ok. I was under the impression that you needed to convert to the GTS manual transmission for any exhaust to clear due to the starter location on the SR5 transmissions.
