SR5 4AC.
Car loses power and dies, cranks a few times then starter clicks.
Alternator failed-battery died.
Battery was 9/12.
Replaced both........Engine won't fire.
It was running great. I just unbolted removed/installed the battery...and alternator. Now I'm confused.
Fresh rebuilt engine, basicaly the alt/battery/starter/dizz were the only remaining used parts.
Checked and resurfaced grounds-check
Fuses-check
Starter kicks/cranks over so-check
TDC-check
Electronic fuel pump, lines, carb-check
Compression-check
Spark at lead to block when cranking, bzzt-check
Drained fuel tank, replaced with 5gl fresh gas, disconnected line at carb, ran pump and drained about 1/2gl.
Details...this is fresh rebuilt engine with 600 miles on it. Was running great with its full 4ac stock power.
Nearly every component is new, minus the battery alternator(now replaced) starter(works) distributor(culprit?)
New rotor cap wires plugs.
Replacing plugs tomorrow, maybe fuel locked but doubt it.
Ordered a distributor.
I have spark so the distributor is doing something. As well as rotor cap wires.
It wont fire as if no fuel is entering(flick throttle-fuel jets in), or timing is off, which I reset twice because I can't figure anything along the lines of the firing stage to be causing this. It went from running to a dead battery and alternator. Took 15 minutes to swap out the pieces and now it won't fire...
Any thoughts/ideas? Thank you.

Re: wt4AC...comp-fuel-spark-at TDC-cranks won't fire...
Any suggestions?
My fuses in the engine bay and 3 off positive terminal are fine. But now I have no dash lights at all. Cranks like a champ.
So what in my ignition/wirinig in general could be faulting it from firing?
Even if my timing was off I should Still be getting something...
I have a distributor arriving thursday, I will at least have that ruled out this weekend.
Electric being my weak point, short of replacing the harness or taking it to a $§$hop I'm stuck.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: wt4AC...comp-fuel-spark-at TDC-cranks won't fire...
Kind of surprising that the car just died on the road because the
alternator gave up ? I don't have a lot of information on the SR5/4AC
but I think the basic fuse boxes and electrics are similar to the GTS.
So I'd check the 60Amp AM-1 fusible link for continuity, then the 7.5Amp
CHARGE fuse in the under hood fuse box, and the 7.5Amp GAUGE fuse
in the main kick panel fuse box.
If you have been cranking on the engine for a while in a no-start situation,
then it is very likely that you have wet down the plugs, especially if they
have been in there for a while. So yes, a set of clean, dry plugs might
be all you need.

Thanks for reading it over and the input.
I'll re-check my fuses when I go to replace plugs.
Plugs have 75-100 miles on them, I definitely may have fouled them though. I'll find out soon.
